About
Save Fairview Campus is a community-led initiative dedicated to protecting the future of Fairview Campus. For over 74 years, the campus has been a cornerstone of education, innovation, and opportunity in the Peace Country—providing vital programs in trades, agriculture, animal sciences, and more.
When news broke of its potential closure, our community came together to take a stand. We believe that Fairview Campus is more than just classrooms and workshops—it’s a lifeline for rural students, local industries, and the economic and cultural health of our entire region.
Our mission is simple:
Advocate for the continued operation and investment in the Fairview Campus.
Amplify the voices of students, alumni, businesses, and residents who depend on it.
Collaborate with local leaders, government officials, and partners to find sustainable solutions.
Together, we can ensure that future generations continue to learn, grow, and build their futures right here in Fairview.
Join us—sign petitions, contact your representatives, and spread the word. Every voice matters. Every action counts.
Let’s keep education and opportunity alive in Fairview.
What’s at Stake
-
Loss of skilled trades pipeline in a region already experiencing labour shortages
-
Loss of 70+ jobs connected to the campus
-
Decline in local businesses that rely on student spending
-
Reduced training options for K-12 graduates
-
Increased barriers for Indigenous learners and mature students
-
Permanent loss of specialized facilities that cannot be easily replaced
Why This Matters
The Fairview campus has served as a training anchor for trades, agriculture, and technical education for generations. Closing the Fairview campus would create an education vacuum across the Peace Country, undermining regional labour supply, reducing economic growth, and limiting educational access for rural and Indigenous learners.
Keeping the campus open is essential for:
-
Trades and apprenticeship capacity
-
Local economic stability
-
Workforce development in agriculture, power engineering, mechanical trades, and more
-
Ensuring rural and Indigenous students can study close to home
-
Sustaining Fairview’s small business community
